This quick and delicious pasta recipe combines fresh tomatoes, garlic, and creamy sauce for a satisfying meal in no time.

Ingredients

  • 200 g pasta of choice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves
  • optional grated parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta according to package; drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet; sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add diced tomatoes; cook 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat; stir in heavy cream, season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix in cooked pasta; serve garnished with basil and cheese if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
