This rich and comforting baked ziti combines creamy cheeses with flavorful marinara, topped with fresh basil for a perfect family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces ziti pasta (Cooked al dente)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (Choose your favorite)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese (Soft and creamy)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (For gooey topping)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (Adds sharp flavor)
  • 1 large egg (Bind ricotta mixture)
  • 0.5 cup fresh basil leaves (For garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook the ziti pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • Mix ricotta, egg, Parmesan, and chopped basil in a bowl.
  • Combine cooked pasta with marinara sauce and ricotta mixture.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with shredded mozzarella, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
