Marinade
1/4cupfresh lime juice(about 2 limes)
1/4cupolive oil
3clovesgarlic(minced)
1teaspoonground cumin
1teaspoonchili powder
1/2teaspoonsmoked paprika
1/2teaspoondried oregano
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1tablespoonsoy sauce or Worcestershire sauce(optional, for depth of flavor)
1tablespoonbrown sugar or honey(optional, for slight sweetness)
1/4teaspoonred pepper flakes(optional, for heat)
Fresh cilantro(chopped (optional, for garnish))
Instructions
Mix lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add soy sauce/Worcestershire, brown sugar/honey, and red pepper flakes (optional).
Place protein (chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetables) in a bag or dish.
Pour marinade over protein, coat well, and refrigerate for 30 min - 2 hours.
Let protein come to room temperature. Remove from marinade and grill or cook in a skillet until cooked through.
