Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • for garnish fresh basil

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil, sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and red pepper flakes, simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream, cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Add pasta, season with salt and pepper, toss to coat.
  • Mix in Parmesan, garnish with basil, serve immediately.
