This quick and creamy garlic tomato pasta is perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner, coming together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add diced tomatoes and cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, add basil, salt, pepper; simmer 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in cooked pasta, add Parmesan, toss to coat, garnish with basil.
