Decadent, fudgy brownies topped with festive sprinkles, perfect for celebrating Independence Day!
Ingredients
1
cup
unsalted butter
(melted)
2
cup
granulated sugar
4
large
eggs
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
cup
all-purpose flour
1
cup
unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/2
teaspoon
baking powder
1/2
cup
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4
cup
red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Whisk until fully combined.
In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a thick, smooth batter forms.
Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
Sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles generously over the top of the batter for a festive touch.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Serve and enjoy the patriotic, decadent brownies with friends and family!
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them cool completely before cutting.
