This flavorful marinade transforms ordinary steak into delicious fajitas. It's quick to prepare and infuses the steak with a zesty, smoky taste.

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) (optional)

Instructions 

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place steak in a resealable bag or container.
  • Pour marinade over steak, ensuring it is well coated.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade.
  • Cook steak to your desired level of doneness.

Notes

For best results, marinate the steak overnight.
