Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Garnish

  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions 

  • Heat oil and cook onions until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef; cook until browned, about 7 minutes.
  • Stir in tomatoes and spices; cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add potatoes, salt, water; cover and simmer 20 minutes until tender.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with rice or naan for a complete meal.
