A classic holiday side dish, this slow cooker green bean casserole is easy to prepare and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Green Beans

  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup french fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Combine green beans, soup, milk, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
  • Stir until well coated, then cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  • Stir in half of the fried onions 30 minutes before serving.
  • Top with remaining fried onions and cook for another 10-15 minutes until crispy.

Notes

For extra crunch, add more fried onions just before serving.
