  • 1 lb flat iron steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 8 flour tortillas

Optional Toppings

  • sour cream
  • guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese

Instructions 

  • Mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub spice mixture on steak; marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook steak 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Rest steak for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Add remaining olive oil to skillet.
  • Cook bell peppers and onion until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Slice steak, add to skillet with vegetables.
  • Serve in warm tortillas with toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
