Enjoy delicious and easy steak fajitas made in the air fryer! This recipe delivers perfectly cooked steak and tender-crisp vegetables in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Fajita Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
  • 2 medium bell peppers ((red, yellow, green), sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 large yellow or white onion (sliced thicker than peppers)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning ((chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, pinch of cayenne))
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (fresh preferred)
  • 2 garlic cloves garlic cloves (minced)

Optional Toppings

  • fresh cilantro (Optional)
  • sliced avocado (Optional)
  • sour cream (Optional)
  • shredded cheese (Optional)
  • warm tortillas (Optional)

Instructions 

  • Slice steak, peppers, and onions. Mince garlic.
  • Marinate steak with 1 tbsp olive oil, fajita seasoning, garlic, and half the lime juice.
  • Toss peppers and onions with remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Air fry steak for 7 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Add veggies to the basket. Air fry for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  • Transfer to a dish, squeeze remaining lime juice, and serve with tortillas and toppings.

Notes

For best results, don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
