This flavorful Korean ground beef bowl is quick to prepare and perfect for a satisfying meal, mimicking takeout quality at home.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (korean chili paste)
  • 1 green onion chopped green onion
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • sesame seeds sesame seeds for garnish
  • vegetable oil vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  • Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute.
  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and gochujang; pour over beef and cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve over rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a drizzle of sesame oil before serving.
