A flavorful and creamy butter chicken recipe that comes together quickly for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks

Dairy

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Vegetables & Aromatics

  • 1 onion onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

Spices

  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Canned & Jarred Goods

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (14 oz)

Seasonings

  • salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper

Garnish & Serve

  • fresh cilantro for garnish cilantro
  • cooked rice or naan for serving rice or naan

Instructions 

  • Melt butter in a skillet, sauté onions until translucent.
  • Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute. Add chicken and brown.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes and spices, simmer 15-20 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, cook 5 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve.

Notes

Use fresh cilantro for the best flavor. Serve with rice or naan for a complete meal.
