  • 1 pound italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add sausage and cook until browned, then stir in garlic.
  • Add orzo, broth, tomatoes, and seasonings; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until orzo is tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, let sit briefly, then fluff and garnish with parsley.
