A delicious dessert combining creamy cheesecake with the cinnamon-sugar flavors of churros.
Ingredients
2
package
cream cheese
(8 oz each, softened)
1
cup
granulated sugar
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
2
can
refrigerated crescent roll dough
(8 oz each)
1/4
cup
unsalted butter
(melted)
1/2
cup
granulated sugar
(for topping)
1
tablespoon
ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray or butter.
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the greased baking dish, pinching seams together to form a solid crust.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough layer in the baking dish.
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully lay it over the cream cheese layer, pinching seams together to form a top crust.
Brush the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough.
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the butter-brushed dough.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, slice into bars and serve.
Notes
For an extra crunch, you can sprinkle chopped nuts over the cinnamon-sugar topping before baking.
