A delicious and easy green bean casserole perfect for Thanksgiving gatherings. Made in the crockpot, it’s a crowd-pleaser with crispy fried onions on top.

Ingredients

Green Beans

  • 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1.5 cups french fried onions

Instructions 

  • Mix mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add green beans and coat evenly.
  • Transfer to crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  • Stir in 1 cup fried onions 30 minutes before serving.
  • Cook for another 30 minutes until crispy.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional fried onions on top before serving.
