Enjoy tender salmon fillets coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or chives, chopped
  • for serving lemon wedges

Instructions 

  • Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes to make the glaze.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup of glaze; brush remaining over salmon. Optional: marinate 30 minutes.
  • Cook salmon skin-side down in a hot skillet for 4 minutes, then spoon half of the reserved glaze on top.
  • Finish cooking in oven at 400°F (200°C) for 6-8 minutes or until done. Brush with remaining glaze before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
