A classic comfort food, this green bean casserole combines fresh green beans with creamy mushroom sauce and crispy onions for a delicious side dish.
Ingredients
Green Beans

fresh green beans, trimmed

sour cream

can (10.5 oz)
cream of mushroom soup

fried onions

garlic powder

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain.
Mix sour cream, mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Add green beans to mixture and combine. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
Top with fried onions and cheese if desired, then bake for 25-30 minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or herbs.
