A hearty and comforting casserole combining ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, baked to perfection for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat and Dairy

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (for garnish)

Potatoes

  • 4 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch dish.
  • Cook ground beef with onions and seasonings until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Mix mushroom soup, milk, and beef broth to make sauce.
  • Layer potatoes, beef, cheese, and vegetables in the dish. Pour sauce over layers.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15-20 minutes until golden. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

You can add more vegetables or cheese for extra flavor.
