cream of mushroom soup
(or cream of chicken)

shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch dish or skillet.
Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; add onion and garlic, sauté 3 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Mix in salt, pepper, and paprika; spread beef in dish. Layer sliced potatoes and sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
Whisk soup and milk; pour over potatoes and cheese. Top with remaining cheese.
Cover with foil; bake 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake 15 more minutes until golden and tender.
Rest 5–10 minutes; garnish with parsley or green onions. Slice and serve.
Notes
For a creamier texture, let the casserole rest before serving.
