Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium medium green bell pepper, sliced

Cheese

  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Bread

  • 4 slices hoagie rolls
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper (for seasoning)
  • optional hot sauce or ketchup (for serving)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix beef with vegetables, top with cheese, and cover until melted.
  • Toast rolls if desired, fill with beef mixture, and serve with hot sauce or ketchup.
