Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound ground turkey (lean)

Aromatics

  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

Herbs & Seasonings

  • to taste herbs (thyme, parsley, Italian blend)

Grains

  • 1.5 cups brown rice (uncooked)

Vegetables

  • 1 cup green beans or spinach (steamed)

Dairy & Fats

  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced for butter)
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan

Optional Add-ins

  • to taste Worcestershire or soy sauce (for extra umami)

Instructions 

  • Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in oil or butter, then add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  • Melt butter and mix in minced garlic to make garlic butter.
  • Cook brown rice according to package instructions.
  • Steam green beans or spinach until tender.
  • Assemble bowls with rice, turkey, veggies, garlic butter, and Parmesan. Add soy or Worcestershire sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, stir in soy or Worcestershire sauce during assembly.
