to tasteLettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo
Instructions
Form ground beef into a loose ball.
Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Place the beef ball on the hot surface and smash it flat with a sturdy spatula or burger press.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until a crust forms on the bottom.
Scrape the burger from the surface and flip it over.
Top with cheese and cook for another minute until the cheese is melted.
While the burger is cooking, melt butter in a separate pan and fry the egg to your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
Toast the hamburger bun.
Place the burger on the bottom bun, top with the fried egg, and add any desired toppings.
Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra crispy burger, use a very hot skillet and don't move the burger until a crust has formed.
