A quick and cheesy pasta bake that's perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz short pasta like rigatoni or elbow (about half of a box)
  • 1.5 cups pasta sauce
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • to taste Pepper Pepper
  • 0.5 lb cooked meat - Chicken (sausage, or beef)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Coat a 9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Combine pasta, sauce, cream, water, and seasonings in the dish. Stir to coat.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil, stir in cooked meat and ½ cup mozzarella. Top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 15 minutes until bubbly. Serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute different cheeses or meats to customize your bake.
