Enjoy delicious and tender steak fajitas made quickly and easily in your Instant Pot. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal and can be customized with your favorite toppings.

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak, skirt steak, or sirloin steak (sliced thinly against the grain)
  • 1 large bell pepper (any color, sliced)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 1 packet fajita seasoning
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • Tortillas (for serving)
  • Optional toppings (salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese)

Instructions 

  • Place sliced bell peppers and onions in the Instant Pot.
  • Add sliced steak on top of the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle fajita seasoning evenly over the steak and vegetables.
  • Pour beef broth or water into the Instant Pot.
  • Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  • Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  • Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Carefully remove the lid.
  • Serve the steak and vegetables immediately in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
