A simple and delicious bread pudding perfect for using up leftover bread and dried fruits. This comforting dessert is quick to prepare and sure to satisfy.

Ingredients

Bread and dried fruits

  • 4 cups bread cubes (4 slices white bread and 4 slices wheat bread)
  • 1/3 cup raisins (or dried cranberries or cherries)
  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12x9-inch casserole dish.
  • Layer bread cubes and raisins in the dish.
  • Beat eggs in a bowl, then stir in milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and set.

Notes

You can substitute dried cranberries or cherries for raisins for variation.
