  • 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 1.25 pound sirloin steak (or you can use another cut like skirt steak or flank steak)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 large sweet onion (sliced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions 

  • Heat skillet over high heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  • Mix steak seasonings, sprinkle on steak.
  • Sear steak 3-5 minutes per side. Transfer to plate.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  • Saute onions and garlic 1-2 minutes, add bell peppers, saute 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Slice steak, mix with onions and bell peppers.

Notes

Serve with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings like salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
