Easy Beef and Broccoli Recipe (Better than takeout!)

A quick and delicious homemade beef and broccoli stir-fry that rivals takeout, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

Vegetables

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Sauces & Condiments

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Cooking Oil

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Seasoning

  • to taste salt and pepper

Serving

  • cooked rice for serving

Instructions 

  • Marinate beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch for 15-30 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet, stir-fry beef for 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
  • Add remaining oil, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds, then add broccoli and cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Return beef to skillet, stir to combine, cook for 2 more minutes, season with salt and pepper, serve over rice.

Notes

Use fresh garlic and ginger for best flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste.
