Ingredients
Base Layer

Apple Filling

unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix flour, sugar, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Press into an 8x8 inch pan.
Toss apples with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
Spread apple mixture over base layer.
Combine topping ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a crunchier topping, bake a few extra minutes until golden.
