A simplified, deconstructed version of classic lasagna that combines flavorful ingredients in a quick and easy way.

Ingredients

Meat and Pasta

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 8 oz Ground turkey
  • 8 oz Italian sweet sausage (ground)
  • 10 Lasagna noodles (break into bite-sized pieces)

Vegetables and Sauce

  • 1 Yellow onion Yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (finely minced)
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 1/2 cups Ricotta cheese
  • 1 Egg Egg
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Italian parsley (finely chopped)

Cheese Topping

  • 8 oz Fresh mozzarella (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Brown turkey, sausage, onion, and garlic in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and oregano; simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Cook broken noodles in salted boiling water until al dente; drain.
  • Mix ricotta, parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Combine noodles with meat sauce, top with ricotta mixture and mozzarella, then bake at 375°F until melted.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
