A delicious crumble topping perfect for fruit crisps and desserts, combining buttery, sweet, and spicy flavors.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • generous pinch pinch fine sea salt
  • 6 tablespoons room-temperature, unsalted butter, cut into 1/2" cubes

Instructions 

  • Add the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon (if using), and salt to a medium-sized bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Scatter the butter across the top of the mixture. Rub the butter into the flour mixture using your fingertips until well-mixed and no longer dry.

Notes

Keep the mixture cold before using for best results.
