A hearty and flavorful beef stew made in a crock pot, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients

halal beef stew meat
(cut into 1-inch cubes)

(sliced)

Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides.
Transfer the browned beef to the crock pot.
In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the sautéed onion and garlic to the crock pot with the beef.
Layer the carrots, potatoes, and frozen peas over the beef and onions in the crock pot.
In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the crock pot and add the bay leaf.
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender.
Remove bay leaf before serving and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Notes
For a thicker stew, you can add a cornstarch slurry during the last hour of cooking.
