This crispy glazed salmon combines sweet honey and savory garlic for a quick, flavorful meal that's perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + water slurry (1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water)
  • optional red pepper flakes (for spice)
  • garnish sesame seeds
  • garnish chopped green onions

Instructions 

  • Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper, then coat with cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, cook salmon skin-side down 3–4 minutes per side until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, simmer honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar for 2 minutes.
  • Add cornstarch slurry, cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  • Return salmon to pan, spoon glaze over, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
