A quick and delicious pasta dish with a creamy tomato garlic sauce, perfect for a satisfying meal in just half an hour.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 200 g pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for serving grated parmesan cheese
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add diced tomatoes, simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, add basil, cook for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper, toss with cooked pasta, serve with cheese and basil.

Notes

Use fresh basil for garnish and adjust seasoning to taste.
