A quick and delicious pasta dish with a creamy tomato garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • as needed fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  • Sauté garlic in olive oil for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and basil; season with salt and pepper, simmer 3-4 minutes.
  • Combine cooked pasta with sauce, add Parmesan, and serve garnished with basil.

Notes

Use fresh basil for extra flavor and adjust seasoning as needed.
