A rich and creamy side dish featuring tender Yukon gold potatoes baked to perfection with garlic, cheese, and herbs.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking dish.
Slice potatoes thinly and set aside.
Melt butter, sauté garlic, stir in flour, then whisk in cream until thickened.
Mix potatoes with sauce, layer in dish, top with cheese if desired.
Cover with foil, bake 30 mins, uncover and bake 30 mins until golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or paprika before baking.
