Ingredients

Pasta

  • 250 g tagliatelle pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • optional red pepper flakes (for spice)

Instructions 

  • Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, simmer, then stir in Parmesan until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  • Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired, then serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a dash of nutmeg to the sauce.
