A creamy, cheesy green bean casserole perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Cream Soup and Dairy

  • 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

Vegetables and Toppings

  • 33 oz green beans, drained
  • 6 oz fried onions
  • 0.5 cup hard cheese, grated
  • 0.33 cup walnuts, chopped (optional) (optional)
  • 0.25 cup scallions, finely chopped

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, cream cheese, and garlic until smooth.
  • Combine green beans with the mixture, add 2/3 of fried onions, then transfer to baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, then top with remaining fried onions, cheese, and walnuts. Bake 5 more minutes until golden.
  • Sprinkle scallions on top and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the walnuts before adding.
