  • 4 cups cornbread, cubed and dried
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt butter in a skillet, sauté onion and celery until softened.
  • Mix cornbread, vegetables, herbs, eggs, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add broth gradually.
  • Transfer to a greased dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of sage-infused broth before baking.
