A creamy, cheesy baked pasta dish featuring tender chicken and rich Alfredo sauce, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 16 ounces penne rigata pasta
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2–3 pieces chicken breasts, cooked and diced

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta to al dente, drain and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour, cook 2–3 minutes.
  • Add garlic, cream, salt, pepper, and Parmesan; cook 8–10 minutes until thickened.
  • Remove from heat, stir in mozzarella and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Mix pasta, chicken, and sauce; transfer to baking dish, top with Parmesan.
  • Freeze cooled dish, or bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan and cook chicken thoroughly.
