A hearty and cheesy pasta dish featuring ground beef and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat and Pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz rigatoni or pasta of choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, then stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  • Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, stir in half the cheese, then sprinkle remaining cheese on top and cover until melted.
  • Serve hot, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of milk or cream when mixing the cheese.
