A spicy and creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. This dish combines succulent shrimp with a flavorful Cajun-spiced cream sauce.

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 pound pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook until shrimp is pink, about 3-5 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Add bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute more.
  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer until sauce has thickened slightly, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
