Ingredients

Dough

  • 250 grams unbleached all purpose flour
  • 125 grams organic cane sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 170 grams unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add softened butter and vanilla, then mix until large crumbles form.
  • Press smaller crumbs by hand to form bigger crumbs if needed.
  • Spread the streusel on a lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool before use.

Notes

This streusel can be stored in an airtight container for several days and used to top various desserts or snacks.
