A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced

Vegetables

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Oils & Sauces

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Seasonings

  • to taste salt and pepper

Servings

  • cooked rice for serving cooked rice

Instructions 

  • Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet. Cook beef until browned, then remove.
  • Add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; stir-fry 30 seconds.
  • Add broccoli; stir-fry 2-3 minutes. Return beef, pour sauce, cook until thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Serve over rice.
