Ingredients

Pasta

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
  • to taste salt
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves
  • for serving grated pecorino cheese

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and salt, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add spaghetti directly into sauce, cover with water, and bring to a boil.
  • Cook, stirring until al dente and sauce thickens, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Let sit briefly, then serve garnished with basil and Pecorino.
